Lagbaja’s set to release new singles

Nigeria’s Afrobeat singer, Lagbaja is now ready with his expected singles; Knock Knock Knock and 2 African Soldiers.

According to our sources who listened to the singles, “both tracks were applauding the creative depth and treatment of love as subject matter”.

The singles will be released on air later this month while the video for the breath-taking duet which Lagbaja is his currently working on will hit the market before the year runs out.

Olu Maintain debuts new video

Yahooze crooner, Olu Maintain has released a new single titled ‘Nawti’. ‘Nawti’ is the first official sound track for Natural African Woman Totally Inspiring (Nawti).

The singer says ‘Nawti’ is dedicated to “anyone and everyone in supporting women to achieve their goals, ambitions and dreams through entertainment fashion and lifestyle.”

Contrary to the recent report that he is broke, the singer in an interview said he is having the best of life. "What's their definition of broke!, I have state of the art cars, my house is awesome, my travel history has increased, so I don't understand what they call broke, I love jewelries, right now. I am wearing a 5.75 carat diamond wristwatch on my wrist."

My detractors at work- Mo’cheddah

Hip Hop singer, Mo’cheddah real name Modupe Oreoluwa Oyeyemi says, the nude female picture circulating on the internet is the hand work of her detractors.

According to the her manager Aderogba Arimoro, the picture which was allegedly sent as a direct message on request by Mo’cheddah to eLDee Da Don, is a scandalous act perpetrated by jobless hackers bent on tarnishing the image of the singer.

He said the hackers gained access into Mo’cheddah’s twitter account and sent out the nude picture to discredit her good works.

“All our efforts to gain control of the account failed because we were locked out by the hackers, but we immediately reported to the management of Twitter and they immediately rectified it,” Arimoro told Entertainment Express.

HekCentrik Productions and E4 PR to produce feature movie ‘Turning Point’

HekCentrik Productions in partnership with E4 PR is set to produce a Hollywood feature movie titled ‘Turning Point’ featuring Nollywood actress Patience Ozokwor, Hollywood actors Lauren London, Ernie Hudson, Todd Bridges and others.

Speaking on the production process, Chief Executive Officer HekCentrik Productions and writer cum director of ‘Turning Point’ Niyi Towolawi “Filming begins middle of October in America, followed by a trip to Nigeria for additional scenes. “Our crew is very excited to visit Nigeria and a film workshop with Nollywood professionals is being lined up for their time there”.

Oleku crooner has released the cover of his debut album ‘Everybody Loves Ice Prince’ recently. According to the singer, the album will be formally launched on Sunday, October 9 2011.

Uche Ogbodo assaulted on set

Actress Uche Ogbodo was assaulted by Enugu based movie marketers, Amaco Brother recently at a movie location. According to our sources, the actress was allegedly beaten and injured because she supposedly delayed movie production with her.

The marketers who are now asking for a N2million fine from her to cover their loss said the actress exhibited 'disruptive behavior’ and made them lose money after she abandoned the movie set.

The marketers went further to say the actress will be banned from acting if she doesn’t pay the N2million fine. Speaking on the assault, the actress said she abandoned the set after one of the brothers assaulted her and has taken the case to Actors' Guild of Nigeria.

The actress was once assaulted by Nollywood actor Dauda.

Chika Ike refutes dating Senator David Mark

Sometimes last week the story about Nollywood Actress, Chika Ike dating Senate President, David Mark, was the talk of the town. The story even went further to say he bought her the Range Rover car she’s currently driving round town and also her Fancy store recently opened in Abuja. In a recent interview with Encomium magazine, Chika says its not true.

"Senator David Mark is not my lover. Normally, I wouldn't react to stories about myself in public, I have my reasons, but I would talk about this briefly. I know David Mark, he is the senate president. But personally, I do not know David Mark and I can say this anywhere, anytime. Why I am actually reacting to this tale is for two reasons.  It's a delicate story and second, I wouldn't want my success, my hard work, and my struggle to be attached to someone I don't know. I have never had anything to do with Senator David Mark. People just wake up and make up stories. The range rover I drive is my hard work, my struggle and my sweat”, Chika says.
